Wish You Were Here?

Stroll just beyond the amusement arcade and icecream kiosks and the mood changes. Llandudno pier is now lined with memorial benches dedicated to those who once "loved it here". Little bunches of plastic flowers sit sadly on some of the harsh lumps of wood. The graceful wrought iron lacework, which was created when piers were built for a happy walk by the sea, is largely hidden from view.
  
If you are on holiday, stay cheerful and turn back after the icecream.
