Plas Newydd was particularly interesting as the introductory talk included a lot of the history of Beaudesert. The families at both properties were closely related. From photos we saw that Beaudesert once very grand. 

Newborough Warren leads down to through woods and sand dunes to the beach.

We met several people collecting Hawthorn berries - they told us that they were going to make Hawthorn Ketchup and that it is very tasty. We haven't tried it - have you?
