Castle Ring Walk

On Thursday evening, around 16 APS members joined the fortnightly photographic walk at Castle Ring, Cannock Chase. The weather certainly wasn't great for photography with a fairly flat, grey sky, and there wasn't anything significant in the scenery to be brought to life. So, what do you do? Well, after Chris's workshop a few weeks ago, it seemed like an ideal opportunity to have a play with sets of HDR images and Photomatix. I haven't purchased the software yet, and so the attached images still have the Photomatix watermark. Also, I haven't spent long playing with all of the settings available. They do, however, show a little bit of what can be done with the software, and how a fairly ordinary evening can still result in some interesting images.
