Annual Novice DPI	1st	Nuthatch	Tony Davis The judge said," A lovely natural shot. The background complements the bird. Something in the beak is always a plus. The bird is nicely positioned in the frame."
	2nd	Salisbury Cathedral	Allan Giles The judge said," The author has chosen to emphasise the lovely ceiling.I like the fact that he or she has not gone over the top correcting verticals."
	3rd	Winter Storm at Porthcawl	Tony Davis The judge said,"A wonderful menacing sky. This image is beautiful yet terrifying."
	Highly Commended	Two Legs	John McNaughton The judge said," Nice depth of field. The author shows a sense of humour. The white duck looks as if it is asking why the other one is copying him!"
	Commended	Canal Bridge	Joan Shuttleworth The judge said," A simple landscape but with strong geometric shapes. I enjoy the footprints on the ice - I have the feeling we can walk that path. The sky is nicely darkened down."
	Commended	Lunchtime	Joy Owen The judge said," A good example of street photography. The image features shadows and strong diagonals. The red hat and bag complement the blue bin."
	Commended	The Gate	Joy Owen The judge said," The sunlight gives wonderful shadows. I enjoy the textures on the wall and the background where the light peels through."
