The judge said,"The whole bird is on a diagonal with a nice catchlight in the eye. The image needs a tweek on the quality of colour but I like the pose."
2nd
Three Arrows

John McNaughton

The judge said," An unusual image. Minimal in  content which strengthens the image. It would have looked better if the author had got rid of the bright area at the bottom and presented the image in landscape view."
3rd
The Snow Leopard

John McNaughton

The judge said, "This may have been better as a head portrait. The pole divides the image into two halves. The right side is not as interesting as the left side. For the left side this image should be very highly commended. The eyes are  amazing,"

The judge said, " I like the lead out. Beautiful colouration generally though the sun distracts a little. I like some of the great detail."

2nd
Morning Reflections, Loch Linhe

Andy Askey

The judge said, "The rocks at the bottom left are beautiful. I would have liked to see more of these. Perhaps the top could be cropped to concentrate attention  on the colours at the bottom of the image."

3rd
Abandoned

Gary Allkins

The judge said, "A powerful sky at the end of the day.  The author could have cropped some of the sky and I would have liked the post to be on the left.
Lovely light"
