This technique has been around for some time, in small doses it's OK but in the main why muck up a perfectly good image with a burnt out blob?
Long exposure together with many other techniques used to produce a different look should be encouraged and applauded, what Thomas Leong has done has produced a high quality body of work which is extremely pleasing to the eye.
