Bodenham Arboretum

Tony Davies shared some lovely images of Westonbirt Arboretum a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately Anne and I haven't had the chance to get down to Westonbirt, but we did go to Bodenham Arboretum near Kidderminster last Saturday. This is smaller than Westonbirt and doesn't have the same number of acers, or the same intensity of colour. However, it is a very pleasant place to visit and the autumn colours still look good. At the moment there is the added attraction of a radio-controlled model boat club meeting there on Saturday afternoons. They also do quite a trade in carvery lunches, which looked good, though we didn't try one. There is an admission charge of £6.50pp but there is no charge if you only go to the restaurant (which looks over the main lake).
