Exbury Gardens

Anne and I spent last weekend with our son and daughter-in-law down in Southampton, and they took us to Exbury Gardens. We didn’t know what to expect, but they were spectacular. Around 200 acres of gardens and 22 miles of paths and tracks running through them. Extremely easy access, and lots of places to sit and enjoy the views, the peace and the tranquillity. It was quite busy over the weekend – and so some of the images aren’t as clear of people as I would have liked, but well worth a visit if you are in the area. May is probably the best time to visit because of the displays of Rhododendrons and Azaleas, but I’m sure that any time would be good. It is also very dog friendly – they even serve ice creams for dogs – as you will see! www.exbury.co.uk
