Photo Opportunities - St Patrick's Day Parade in Digbeth 16th March

"The highlight of the festivities starts at 12 noon with a confetti blast.  The theme this year is Irish Myths and Legends. The Parade will be led by an Olliphoist, an Irish Dragon. The legend goes that after St Patrick had rid ireland of snakes he turned his attention to dragons. Knowing his fate the great Olliphoist fled Ireland with great haste, and in doing so carved out with his tail the Shannon. The mythical creature will do the same for Birmingham St Patrick's Parade by leading the way for Connaught as the leading Province, followed by  Irish Pipes and Drums Band plus five other marching bands, a VIP bus with The Lord and Lady Mayoress, floats, walking groups, tractors, scooters, vintage cars and much more following in its wake."
