Bluebells at Yoxall Lodge

Bluebell woods certainly seem to be the current theme, and on the basis of our last few days, we can understand why. My wife, Anne, and I spent a very enjoyable couple of hours at Yoxall Lodge Bluebell Woods on Monday 13th. By rights this was already into extra time because of the late Spring, but the bluebells were stunning, with plenty still in bud. In fact, checking the website, Yoxall Lodge have now extended the opening until Monday 27th. Well worth a visit. One tip – we went about 4pm and were probably the last to arrive. We didn’t see anyone else at all during our walk which meant that we didn’t have to wait for people to get out of the way for photos, and we didn’t hold anyone up either. They close at 6pm, but that is only for admissions and they don’t throw you out. We finally left at nearly 6.30 and were the last to leave. Perfect!
