A Visit to Bath

We went down to Bath on Tuesday to hear Margaret's grandson sing with the National Youth Choir, there are a couple of shots of them, one at rehersals and the other the finale of the concert.

As Bath is such a super place we made a day of it especially as the area around the abbey and Roman baths is one of the best places I know to get candid street shots. Some of the shots are taken from the hip 1970's style, something I've not done for a while as a DSLR is not the ideal tool but the X100 was designed for this style of work. No sneaked telephoto shots it's close and personal with the 35mm lens but no one objected when on the odd occasion I was 'clocked'. Great what sunshine and a smile can do!

The two bikers were raising awareness for men's cancer.

It may seem a little strange to photograph a dust cart but the current theme in INSCAPE is the environment and I think this shows cause and effect of a lot of our climate problems.

Some feed back would be nice. Very few of the photo sets raise any sort of comment which is not the idea of putting them on the blog. People's  individual thoughts on what effect the work shown had on them would be of more help to the photographer than the judges' routine comments. I'm making a mid-year resolution to try to comment more often!
